Thermal insulating spray plastering

Product

What is thermal insulating plastering?

Thermal insulation plaster is lightweight and has an increased insulation capacity compared to conventional core plaster. It is a great addition for plastering thermoblocks without additional insulation. The minimum thickness of thermal insulation plaster on masonry is 20mm. Thermal insulating mineral plaster consists of fine aggregate, lime, silica sand and perlite (not crushed polystyrene).

Application procedure of heat-insulating plaster

The thermal insulation machine plaster is applied by spraying on the pre-sprayed plaster, the so-called “spritz”. The thermal insulation plaster can be applied up to a thickness of 40 – 60 mm. Subsequently, a reinforcement layer is applied with a bead or fibre trowel adhesive. The last steps of the implementation are the application of the primer and the final shot plaster.

CAUTION!!! Thermal insulators have improved thermal insulation properties over conventional lime plaster, but fall far short of the insulating ability of EPS70F or wool facade insulators, see comparison below.

Thermal insulating

It prevents heat from escaping from the building due to thermal bridges in the walls. Significantly increases the overall thermal resistance of the structure and meets the requirements for greater resistance to volumetric changes due to temperature.

Vapour permeability

It has a very good water vapour permeability.
